REHABILITATION PATHWAY FOR CHILDREN WITH BURNSIN UKRAINE

The project aims to investigate the rehabilitation care pathway for children with burns in Ukraine, specifically by analysing available quantitative data and existing approaches to the organisation of rehabilitation care.

The Health Sciences Research Foundation is responsible for the research component of the project: it is involved in developing the research methodology and protocol, undergoing ethical review, analysing quantitative data from the National Health Service of Ukraine, interpreting the results and preparing recommendations for the next stages of the project.

Goal: To investigate existing pathways for the provision of rehabilitation care for children with burns in Ukraine, identify key gaps and establish an evidence base for their further improvement.

Period: November 2025 – July 2026

Partners: CF ‘Patients of Ukraine’, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH), and Sunnaas Rehabilitation Hospital, with financial support from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad).
