Kateryna Tymruk-Skoropad

is a Doctor of Science in Physical Education and Sports, Professor of the Department of Therapy and Rehabilitation at the Ivan Bobersky Lviv State University of Physical Culture. She is the author of over 50 scientific works, including articles in BMC Health Services Research, Physiotherapy Quarterly, Advances in Rehabilitation, Acta Balneologica, and other professional journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. She is the co-author of the textbooks “Therapeutic Exercises” (2021, 2024) and “Clinical Practice in Physical Therapy in Master’s Programmes” (2022). Her main areas of research include pulmonary rehabilitation of patients with COPD, assessment and monitoring of the effectiveness of physical therapy in military personnel, and the development of family-oriented programmes for children with autism spectrum disorders. She has participated in the international projects Erasmus+ REHAB, ReLAB-HS, and PEAiCE, and is the co-founder and president of the NGO “Health Sciences Research Foundation”. She supervises the research work of postgraduate students, is a reviewer for international journals, and is a member of the editorial boards of the publications Sports Science and Human Health and Physical Culture and Sport: Scientific Perspective. Her scientific contribution lies in the development of theoretical and methodological foundations of physical therapy and the implementation of modern rehabilitation models in Ukrainian practice. She also participated in the development of national rehabilitation care protocols, in particular for patients with COVID-19, which contributed to the integration of modern approaches into the Ukrainian healthcare system.
